
Synergy Safety Solutions was founded by Fred Wilton, a Certified Safety Professional with over 20 years of experience.
Fred has a degree in Safety Science from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania that he received in 1997. He has been employed as a full-time safety professional for over 20 years and is a Certified Safety Professional through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP number 21405).
Fred has experience in both general industry and construction
Fred started learning about occupational safety as he went to college in Indiana, Pennsylvania starting in 1992. During school breaks, he would write safety programs, train workers and perform safety inspections at his family’s foundry business.
In 1998, Fred started his consulting career when he went to work for a safety consulting firm in the Denver, CO area called Miller Safety Consulting, Inc. His duties with Miller included performing safety audits at clients’ work sites for both general industry and construction, performing accident investigations, representing clients during OSHA inspections and resolving any citations and training workers on OSHA standards and safety requirements. He was involved in over 100 OSHA inspections and hundreds of accident cases during his time with Miller that lasted about 7.5 years.
In 2005, Fred went to work for a commercial general contractor in Colorado in named Haselden Construction. He started off as a site safety engineer for a 30-story remodel project in downtown Denver and was promoted to the Safety Manager position within the company after about a year on the project. As Safety Manager, he had oversite of the safety programs for all Haselden’s projects. There were about 15 different projects at any given time over three States and he was managing 4 safety professionals working who worked on the various projects sites.
In 2011, Fred left Colorado to move to California and went to work for Clark Construction, a large commercial general contractor who performed about $1.2 billion per year on the West coast. He started off as a lead Site Safety and Health Officer of the Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital project that was valued at $480 million. Within 6 months, Fred was promoted to Western Regional Safety Director where he assumed the responsibility of managing all of the projects in Clark’s Western Region. He had a team of 14 safety professionals working for me on the various projects across the region that covered California, Washington and Nevada.
In 2015, Fred left Clark to come work for FDR Safety, LLC., a full-service safety consulting firm based out of Tennessee with personnel located throughout the country. He was hired to oversee their operations in the Western United States. He worked with clients performing workplace safety audits, safety training classes, expert witness services, safety program management and on-site safety professional placement services.
In 2017, Fred became the sole proprietor of Synergy Safety Solutions, LLC. in California. He currently assist clients with health and safety compliance through audits and training as well as expert witness services.

Fred Wilton has has worked on over 15 cases in which he has written letters of opinion, given depositions and/or given testimony in trial within the last three years.
